Paisano's is the total 1972 package. The total package that incorporates everything that is St Petersburg, Florida and wraps it up in a nice little bow for you. There you go. Now, it is up to you to eat there and experience it. Please bear with me while I romanticize... Every town has that local pizza place, the type of place that you just feel the urge to go back to week after week. Just like that old movie that you watch over and over again and it never gets old. There is a comfort in that. In this day and age when we even feel guilty for not trying a new restaurant every week, it is nice to have a comforting place to go back to. The service is warm and friendly, and so is this 1970's family restaurant atmosphere. Please please please never renovate this space. Never change. Keep is dark and divey and just keep dusting off those plastic grapes hanging from the ceiling. Yes, divey. There is a full liquor bar in the back; complete with juke box, neon signs, old arcade games, and an old lady that is always drunk and singing along with whatever music is playing. I'll just stay in the dining room, peeking into the kitchen at the mens with swagger making pizza while I munch down on a beautifully arranged bouquet of Pizza Bones. I cannot decide if I like the Chicago Thin Crust (cut into squares, of course) or the Chicago Deep Dish Pie more. Garlic butter on the crust is a must. All I know is this stuff never goes out of style. So, do as the locals do and eat at Paisano's.

Good pizza and pub food! Kind of an odd presence at the bar. The bar is open to the restaurant which creates a good bit of noise at certain times but it isn't a huge deal. The food is solid. The "pizza bones" are their take on the bread stick but better. They're a little crispy on the outside and soft on the inside served with 3 different sauces. We split a cheese steak and a stuffed pizza. The cheese steak was a touch on the oily side. I think that they brush the bread with garlic butter. Tastes great but makes it a little soggy. The stuffed pizza is interesting. It's thin layers of crust above and below like a pie. It's overall thicker like Chicago style but the actual layers are thin. The top has a layer of sauce. By looking at it you'd swear it was Chicago style but it isn't. There's a special on the menu for a small with 5 toppings for like 10 bucks. It was plenty for two people and then some. Finally the dessert. I'm not a sweets guy but the waitress said we had to try the tiramasu. She was very convincing... Holy crap! I fantasize about it now. It is so moist and delicious. This is the best tiramasu I've ever had. Admittedly I very rarely order this dessert because typically it's been a disappointment but this was fantastic! The staff and service was great! All in all it was a really good visit. We will be back.

Paisano's has been my go-to pizza place for the past few months. They give out coupons in the mail through Valpak and sometimes in stores, which helps the price since it's not some poser pizza chain. I don't know how to describe Paisano's, but what keeps me coming is that it is a bit oily, crisp crust that flexes generously (for the folders out there), and most importantly, they're open a little late on Friday and Saturday. They also offer garlic butter on the pizza. I'm not sure if I notice, but I love the gesture.

I've been going here since this joint was "DINO's" pizza way back in the day. As for the dine-in experience now? No thanks. This place is always chaos, with a jam-packed parking lot, and a dining area often with kids running around and a noise level far above pleasant. So I only do take-out here, and even that has become a hassle with the parking scene. As for the pizza? Good, better than any chain, but never great. I have found the food to be very inconsistent here. Every slice of my last few take-out pizzas from here dripped with so much oil/fat that it nearly covered half of my plate. I'm not a health-nut but felt compelled to dab and blot my next slice with paper towels over and over before I ate it. Never again... Often, popularity does not always equal greatness. Those Kardashians have had a #1 TV show for many years, right? So for me, this is just "Kardashian" pizza. Mostly just show, great for many, but for those seeking a bit more? This is not your pizza nirvana... So the take-out food is just 3 stars, because you have a 50-50 shot of the food being good. As for dining in? Forget it. I give it zero stars, unless you enjoy chaos. I'll keep going back to my trusty Italian favorite in the old Rutland Plaza nearby, for pizza without the hollow lemming pedigree, onslaught of dripping grease, and a much more pleasant pizza experience overall! This was my first time here. The service was good and friendly. I wasn't sure what to order and the wait staff quickly gave me a suggestion, which I accepted. I ordered the Hannah Taylor pizza with garlic butter crust and all you can eat salad bar. The pizza crust was crisp and light, there were lots of toppings on the pizza. The salad bar had the same items on most salad bars but the items were fresh. The prices are okay. I will return again.

I loved the warm homey feel here. Service was so sweet and personable. In a way, I felt out of place, but it never made me uncomfortable because everyone I interacted with was pleasant. Everything on the salad bar was crisp, cold, and made me dance in my seat. Also tried me some spaghetti topped with fried eggplant(?), I don't care if it were poisonous hazard waste, I'd eat it again. Then there was that slice of pizza which donned diced peppers beneath a melty layer of cheese beneath a few slices of warm and juicy tomato slices...oh my lanta. This is our go to for pizza. It's our idea of comfort food. The crust is crisp and available dry or with garlic. The sauce is tangy with a touch of sweet. There is a good selection of toppings including fresh garlic and fresh basil. Paired with a salad bar slad and a glass of red and you have the ultimate comfort food!

I'm not sure where your Chicago friends went for pizza when they were there, but I've tried hundreds of different pizzas in Chicago, so I consider myself quite the expert. Needless to say, Paisano's will definitely not be on my list again. It was bad, but not horrible. Crust was decent, cheese was mediocre but the pepperoni was pretty good, hence the two stars instead of one. What killed this pizza was the sauce. Very, very bland, as if it just came out of a can. In my opinion, sauce is what ties everything together on a pizza and this was really disappointing. Also, the mozzarella sticks were warm, but the cheese was hard. That's kind of scary to me. I'm thinking of getting the leftover sticks carbon dated. The good reviews of bad Florida pizza continues to baffle me.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while now and finally did last night. We got the pizza bones and a medium pizza to go. When I ordered the pizza bones I assumed it would come with marinara dipping sauce, but I was pleasantly surprised when she asked if I wanted Alfredo, meat sauce or garlic butter. Since it was our first time trying it, I got all three. I wasn't too impressed with the Alfredo unfortunately, but it was a nice option to have. The meat sauce was good, but the garlic butter was the best. The pizza has a doughy crust which I really enjoy. It was hot and the toppings were fresh. The only complaint I have is that I wish it had cooked longer so the cheese was browned. Next time I would ask for it well done.

Great place. Pizza bones are awesome for an appetizer and you get a lot of them. I really like the Alfredo sauce too for dipping. Pizza is good and hot with fresh toppings. The Sangria is good too. Comes with cinnamon which is a nice touch. Kid friendly. They will give your kids pizza dough to play with if you ask for it. Definitely a great place to try out if you live in or are visiting St. Pete.

Have eaten here several times over the last couple years. I think the food is ok, I still haven't been blown away by anything yet. This last visit, though, I was not thrilled at all. The primary reason I am knocking the score down is because I was charged 2$ for extra cheese...on my 1-filet chicken parm. Seriously?? And compared to the amount of cheese on my friends entrees, it wasn't much different. I know pizza joints are charging approx this amount for extra TOPPINGS on an entire pizza. NOT on 1 small chicken filet. And, more, not being told that there would be a charge. I simply asked if I could get extra cheese and was told sure. You have to tell your customers there is a charge! Especially if you are going to nail them with a $2 charge. That's just lame, old-school up-charging customers and it stinks. I don't mind if it's a reasonable extra charge AND being told that there is. I'll decide if I want it then. Don't try to pump up your sales by being shady. The famous Pizza Bones are actually what I've found to be the best item I've had here. And they are actually good. Nice and covered with garlic butter-very tasty! Salads-Caesar. Don't put the dressing on the side. I know that's probably because a Prep was either using too much and drowning it, and/or, a customer or two complained and there's no pleasing them so every one now has to do it themselves. Personally, I prefer the restaurant do this, and teach everyone HOW to do it correctly,-than leaving it up to me to coat everything on my plate and losing bits over the side. Doing an individual Caesar is actually a nice, easy touch to the experience. Aside from that, I just haven't found the wow factor here. Food is is just "ok". I can point to several other places for much better pizza alone. The Chicken Parm was ok. I think a lot of it is the sauce. It's a heavier, spicier sauce than what I typically get. Not my first choice. Also, dump the video games. We were trying to have a nice conversation and kept having to deal with the overly loud mom and her kid yelling at the game.

I've never tried the pizza (weird I know), but the Fettuccine Alfredo is great! This place has huge portions for low prices. $14 pitcher of Sangria?! Yes please! I always get the Fettuccine Alfredo which comes with a salad (Caesar or House) and amazing bread sticks. I always have enough left over for lunch the next day. People are serious when they say the bread sticks are incredible. Do not even try them if you are on a diet. I can taste the butter seeping into my veins after taking one bite. It is definitely worth it. They have trivia here on Tuesday nights, which is how I ended up trying this place out. It is a lot of fun and the people playing are all friendly and obviously know each other. There is a lot of shouting back and forth. This isn't high dining, but the prices and portion sizes make coming here worth it. Be warned, parking is a b****. The lot is small and seems to be always filled. I haven't figured out if there is another place where you can park nearby, since we always seem to snag the last parking spot. Whenever I get a pasta craving, this is my new go to spot.

When you see a Paisano's Pizza box in the dumpster every time you take out the trash you know where the locals get their pizza fix. I've only tried the pizza and the "Pizza Bones" a.k.a. breadsticks so I can't vouch for the food, but the pizza is decent. The highlight of Paisano's is their AMAZING Pizza Bones!!! OMG, so good!!! The Pizza Bones are super garlicky and buttery and are served warm from the oven. I could skip the pizza and just eat Pizza Bones all night!

Really quality pizza. I know a couple of Chicago Natives that are very particular about their pizza. This is about the only place they will go in town. I am from Detroit, and up there Buddy Pizza is the cream of the crop. While this place is a bit different than Buddy's, they are in the same league when it comes to quality. Great pizza, great bread, great salads. The staff is also wonderful. You are going to be full and happy whether you eat in or take out. It is one of those pizzas where you get full, but just can't stop eating because the flavor is so good. This is a good place to bring friends and get pitchers of beer.

Second visit tonight . Tried the famous pizza bones & was not disappointed....best spin on garlic bread I've had in a long time. Huge basket that disappeared way too fast. We had meatball & chicken parm subs with an upgrade to the pasta salad ; good move. Excellent service. Paisano's Pizza is your basic, family-friendly, locally owned and operated pizza joint. The pizza is good, although not among the best I've ever had, but they have a good selection of ingredients that you can mix and match; another point in their favor is that the fresh veggies they use are prepared correctly so that the pizza doesn't get watery. Families with young children will probably rate this restaurant much higher, as the place is extremely child-friendly (which is great) and really geared more towards that type of crowd. However, the pizza is worth checking out if you are in the mood for casual takeout; I wouldn't recommend dining in unless you have children 12 and under.

I went in and ordered take out and we were gravely disappointed. I am full Italian so a bit picky but I was beyond myself with how poor the quality was. I oredered stuffed shells and a calzone and salad for us to share. The stuffed shells were stuffed with a very cheap and gritty ricotta cheese. It was such a bland and gross cheese. The sauce was super oily. That part I can't understand?? There wasn't meat in the sauce but when I got home and took the lid off of the container, I noticed a thick glaze of oil which looked like the BP spill. Very sparse and cheap Mozarrella to top it. The side was Italian sausage. We tried two bites and were pretty grossed out. Gritty meat, it didn't taste like Italian sausage at all. The side salad was decent, the dressing tasty. The Calzone was so disappointing. The crust was SO thin. So thin that the ingredients were not held together well. It fell apart in one swoop. I ordered it with Spinach (lots of frozen spinach), Eggplant (couldn't tell if any was in it) and meatballs (very sparse). We were really craving a good calzone and it was dreadful. I didn't eat in but I was there for 30 minutes waiting and had a bit of time to take in the place. Very tacky, very dusty and very old Miller lite lights to decorate. There are so many better places in St. Petersburg. I picked up take out on a whim and had deep regrets. Next time I will stick to Cafe Cibo which NEVER goes wrong.

Well we go quiet often I have to say to virginia they actually offer certain nights that kids eat free so I would avoid those days! I have the salad bar all the time for dinner 6.99 all the soup and salad you can eat I mainly stick to the salads and I love it. Their pizza is amazing and the sause is always consistant - and it is home made which they take pride in. If you want a quiet romantic place this is not it... just a local hot sport bar on one side main dinning on other - very popular local spot.

I was expecting better from Paisano's. The pizza was mediocre but the drink prices were good. It took a while to be seated but the service was not bad once we did. It is kind of dark and gloomy in the restaurant. The regulars were at the bare playing trivia. I looked over at the buffet as it was Italian buffet night but it did not look to appetizing. I think there were 2 pizzas, some salad, and maybe some ziti or lasagna. We ordered a pitcher of Blue Moon that was not badly prices, an order of pizza bones which are just garlic bread with lots of butter and a thin crust pizza. The highlight of the meal was the beer. Overall, I was expecting a higher quality pizza from Paisano's. I am not against giving it another try but probably not anytime soon.

I was hoping to get to Giordano's instead, but this was closer to where I was going. Not my choice, and definitely no need to return on a future visit to the area. The sausage and pepperoni stromboli was weak. I should have just ordered a small pizza instead. This is what the stromboli was like, with a side of marinara sauce. I was told of the lunch buffet but decided against it without looking. For one it would've cost me less than what I ordered, and I could have gotten more than my plate had. As a traveler, I am comfortable (but maybe generous) in giving this 2 stars. The service was slow, my food was scraping the bottom of the barrel. At least the booth looked in decent condition, no rips, tears or duct tape were obvious. Then again, I should have looked closer to distract myself from my "lunch".

I agree with Lisa, this place is dreadful. Sure they're busy quite often packed, with lots of kids running around and a clientel that seems, well, like they're definitely food fans, but not foodies. The spaghetti we got here was so overdone and the sauce tasted like a can. The meatballs had a very odd texture of poorly ground beef and only beef and breadcrumbs. Certainly not a place I want to spend my money at.

We tried this for the first time today , on a Sunday . They seated us in an empty section and our waiter was more into talking with the other female staff . I asked 3 different things about items on the menu , he knew nothing about any of the items I had asked . I think the main clue I noticed and should have turned around and walked out, was that this is supposed to be an italian restaurant and there was absolutely no baked pizza smell or garlic odors .. you know that GOOD italian smell when you enter the front door . Its dark and dingy inside . We ordered an italian sub , and a meatball sub , one with the fries which was $2.00 extra and a side of pasta and sauce . We waited and waited , finally other people came into our section , they ordered pizza . They recieved their order before us , we were told they were waiting for the fries to cook . I had no clue that fries took longer to cook than pizza . WHO KNEW ? The subs were served on old sub buns , they were very dry and crumbled in your hand as you picked them up . The meat on the italian was tastless , I only tasted the peppers . The meatball , tasted like it had sauce from a can and the meatballs were little perfectly formed balls , just like the frozen in the bag kind . Seriously this place was awfull .

This place is what it is -- an awesome family-oriented place that makes great pizza. As grandparents, we love Paisano's for having a "make your own pizza" night every Saturday. Our two grandsons adore the individual crusts they're given, as well as the little dishes of sauce and toppings, so they can create any kind of pizza they'd like. They also love the gumball and candy machines a little too much, but we indulge them. It's just all part of the package. Combine that with some bowling at Sunshine Lanes right up the road and you've got the perfect grandparent/grandchild evening. Just don't go here looking for an upscale salad bar or gourmet Italian. That's not what this place is all about. But if you're looking for an economical evening out in a kid-friendly, neighborhood place with pleasant servers you cannot do better.

This is one of my two favorite Italian Restaurants in St. Pete. I don't know what happened to the people who left these other reviews but I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. The price is very reasonable and the food has me craving it all the time. The sauce tastes authentic(much more than the more expensive GiGis across the street) and the meatballs were delicious. I also recommend the California salad with the house dressing made at the restaurant. My wait both for take out and dine in was pretty typical for any restaurant although there are usually a lot of families there with children so it can be a little loud sometimes but the food is good enough that you don't mind. The service has always been top notch and everyone is friendly. I haven't been to the lunch buffet but I"d heard it's pretty good as well.

Paisano's has been my go-to pizza place for the past few months. They give out coupons in the mail through Valpak and sometimes in stores, which helps the price since it's not some poser pizza chain. I don't know how to describe Paisano's, but what keeps me coming is that it is a bit oily, crisp crust that flexes generously (for the folders out there), and most importantly, they're open a little late on Friday and Saturday. They also offer garlic butter on the pizza. I'm not sure if I notice, but I love the gesture.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while now and finally did last night. We got the pizza bones and a medium pizza to go. When I ordered the pizza bones I assumed it would come with marinara dipping sauce, but I was pleasantly surprised when she asked if I wanted Alfredo, meat sauce or garlic butter. Since it was our first time trying it, I got all three. I wasn't too impressed with the Alfredo unfortunately, but it was a nice option to have. The meat sauce was good, but the garlic butter was the best. The pizza has a doughy crust which I really enjoy. It was hot and the toppings were fresh. The only complaint I have is that I wish it had cooked longer so the cheese was browned. Next time I would ask for it well done.

Have eaten here several times over the last couple years. I think the food is ok, I still haven't been blown away by anything yet. This last visit, though, I was not thrilled at all. The primary reason I am knocking the score down is because I was charged 2$ for extra cheese...on my 1-filet chicken parm. Seriously?? And compared to the amount of cheese on my friends entrees, it wasn't much different. I know pizza joints are charging approx this amount for extra TOPPINGS on an entire pizza. NOT on 1 small chicken filet. And, more, not being told that there would be a charge. I simply asked if I could get extra cheese and was told sure. You have to tell your customers there is a charge! Especially if you are going to nail them with a $2 charge. That's just lame, old-school up-charging customers and it stinks. I don't mind if it's a reasonable extra charge AND being told that there is. I'll decide if I want it then. Don't try to pump up your sales by being shady. The famous Pizza Bones are actually what I've found to be the best item I've had here. And they are actually good. Nice and covered with garlic butter-very tasty! Salads-Caesar. Don't put the dressing on the side. I know that's probably because a Prep was either using too much and drowning it, and/or, a customer or two complained and there's no pleasing them so every one now has to do it themselves. Personally, I prefer the restaurant do this, and teach everyone HOW to do it correctly,-than leaving it up to me to coat everything on my plate and losing bits over the side. Doing an individual Caesar is actually a nice, easy touch to the experience. Aside from that, I just haven't found the wow factor here. Food is is just "ok". I can point to several other places for much better pizza alone. The Chicken Parm was ok. I think a lot of it is the sauce. It's a heavier, spicier sauce than what I typically get. Not my first choice. Also, dump the video games. We were trying to have a nice conversation and kept having to deal with the overly loud mom and her kid yelling at the game.

Located in a strip shopping center on 4th Street this restaurant has been around a while. It is dated.. The food, however, is above average. Atmosphere 70 Very dated. Service 75 Okay Food 75 Pizzeria quality which could be good Valuye 75 What you would expect to pay Just too many choices on 4th Street to settle for this eatery, that is, unless you have no better clues where to eat a pizza or a moderately priced Italian meal.

I loved the warm homey feel here. Service was so sweet and personable. In a way, I felt out of place, but it never made me uncomfortable because everyone I interacted with was pleasant. Everything on the salad bar was crisp, cold, and made me dance in my seat. Also tried me some spaghetti topped with fried eggplant(?), I don't care if it were poisonous hazard waste, I'd eat it again. Then there was that slice of pizza which donned diced peppers beneath a melty layer of cheese beneath a few slices of warm and juicy tomato slices...oh my lanta. I don't allow myself to dairy products, but a very rare exception was made that day. The environment, the people, and the mighty dank food all contributed to one fabulous experience. This is our go to for pizza. It's our idea of comfort food. The crust is crisp and available dry or with garlic. The sauce is tangy with a touch of sweet. There is a good selection of toppings including fresh garlic and fresh basil. Paired with a salad bar slad and a glass of red and you have the ultimate comfort food!

Ross M., what are you talking about? I'm not sure where your Chicago friends went for pizza when they were there, but I've tried hundreds of different pizzas in Chicago, so I consider myself quite the expert. Needless to say, Paisano's will definitely not be on my list again. It was bad, but not horrible. Crust was decent, cheese was mediocre but the pepperoni was pretty good, hence the two stars instead of one. What killed this pizza was the sauce. Very, very bland, as if it just came out of a can. In my opinion, sauce is what ties everything together on a pizza and this was really disappointing. Also, the mozzarella sticks were warm, but the cheese was hard. That's kind of scary to me. I'm thinking of getting the leftover sticks carbon dated. The good reviews of bad Florida pizza continues to baffle me.

Been here a couple of times now, and we really like the pizza! It helps that it's so close too. We've tried a few other entrees (mozzarella sticks, calzone) and they have been ok but nothing outstanding. The people have been very friendly every time I go in. We will be back!

Second visit tonight . Tried the famous pizza bones & was not disappointed....best spin on garlic bread I've had in a long time. Huge basket that disappeared way too fast. We had meatball & chicken parm subs with an upgrade to the pasta salad ; good move. Excellent service. The regulars at the bar look to be having a great time but this place appears to be good for families as well. Prices are very reasonable & we had leftovers, even. Will be back!

I've never tried the pizza (weird I know), but the Fettuccine Alfredo is great! This place has huge portions for low prices. $14 pitcher of Sangria?! Yes please! I always get the Fettuccine Alfredo which comes with a salad (Caesar or House) and amazing bread sticks. I always have enough left over for lunch the next day. People are serious when they say the bread sticks are incredible. Do not even try them if you are on a diet. I can taste the butter seeping into my veins after taking one bite. It is definitely worth it. They have trivia here on Tuesday nights, which is how I ended up trying this place out. It is a lot of fun and the people playing are all friendly and obviously know each other. There is a lot of shouting back and forth. This isn't high dining, but the prices and portion sizes make coming here worth it. Be warned, parking is a b****. The lot is small and seems to be always filled. I haven't figured out if there is another place where you can park nearby, since we always seem to snag the last parking spot. Whenever I get a pasta craving, this is my new go to spot.

I agree with Lisa, this place is dreadful. Sure they're busy quite often packed, with lots of kids running around and a clientel that seems, well, like they're definitely food fans, but not foodies. The spaghetti we got here was so overdone and the sauce tasted like a can. The meatballs had a very odd texture of poorly ground beef and only beef and breadcrumbs. Certainly not a place I want to spend my money at.

Great place. Pizza bones are awesome for an appetizer and you get a lot of them. I really like the Alfredo sauce too for dipping. Pizza is good and hot with fresh toppings. The Sangria is good too. Comes with cinnamon which is a nice touch. Kid friendly. They will give your kids pizza dough to play with if you ask for it. Definitely a great place to try out if you live in or are visiting St. Pete.

When you see a Paisano's Pizza box in the dumpster every time you take out the trash you know where the locals get their pizza fix. I've only tried the pizza and the "Pizza Bones" a.k.a. breadsticks so I can't vouch for the food, but the pizza is decent. The highlight of Paisano's is their AMAZING Pizza Bones!!! OMG, so good!!! The Pizza Bones are super garlicky and buttery and are served warm from the oven. I could skip the pizza and just eat Pizza Bones all night!

Really quality pizza. I know a couple of Chicago Natives that are very particular about their pizza. This is about the only place they will go in town. I am from Detroit, and up there Buddy Pizza is the cream of the crop. While this place is a bit different than Buddy's, they are in the same league when it comes to quality. Great pizza, great bread, great salads. The staff is also wonderful. You are going to be full and happy whether you eat in or take out. It is one of those pizzas where you get full, but just can't stop eating because the flavor is so good. This is a good place to bring friends and get pitchers of beer.

Paisano's Pizza is your basic, family-friendly, locally owned and operated pizza joint. The pizza is good, although not among the best I've ever had, but they have a good selection of ingredients that you can mix and match; another point in their favor is that the fresh veggies they use are prepared correctly so that the pizza doesn't get watery. Families with young children will probably rate this restaurant much higher, as the place is extremely child-friendly (which is great) and really geared more towards that type of crowd. However, the pizza is worth checking out if you are in the mood for casual takeout; I wouldn't recommend dining in unless you have children 12 and under.

3.5 Stars in my book, but could not rate accordingly in rating box. Garlic bread is yummy, chicken parmesan is the best I've had in St Pete. Salads are decent. Wait staff is very friendly and welcoming-make you feel right at home. Pricing is reasonable. Parking is only problem. Definitely recommend over other Italian restaurants along 4th in the northeast part of St Pete.

I was hoping to get to Giordano's instead, but this was closer to where I was going. Not my choice, and definitely no need to return on a future visit to the area. The sausage and pepperoni stromboli was weak. I should have just ordered a small pizza instead. This is what the stromboli was like, with a side of marinara sauce. I was told of the lunch buffet but decided against it without looking. For one it would've cost me less than what I ordered, and I could have gotten more than my plate had. As a traveler, I am comfortable (but maybe generous) in giving this 2 stars. The service was slow, my food was scraping the bottom of the barrel. At least the booth looked in decent condition, no rips, tears or duct tape were obvious. Then again, I should have looked closer to distract myself from my "lunch".

Well we go quiet often I have to say to virginia they actually offer certain nights that kids eat free so I would avoid those days! I have the salad bar all the time for dinner 6.99 all the soup and salad you can eat I mainly stick to the salads and I love it. Their pizza is amazing and the sause is always consistant - and it is home made which they take pride in. If you want a quiet romantic place this is not it... just a local hot sport bar on one side main dinning on other - very popular local spot.

I was expecting better from Paisano's. The pizza was mediocre but the drink prices were good. It took a while to be seated but the service was not bad once we did. It is kind of dark and gloomy in the restaurant. The regulars were at the bare playing trivia. I looked over at the buffet as it was Italian buffet night but it did not look to appetizing. I think there were 2 pizzas, some salad, and maybe some ziti or lasagna. We ordered a pitcher of Blue Moon that was not badly prices, an order of pizza bones which are just garlic bread with lots of butter and a thin crust pizza. The highlight of the meal was the beer. Overall, I was expecting a higher quality pizza from Paisano's. I am not against giving it another try but probably not anytime soon.

You can't beat their incredibly cheap lunch buffet. All the pasta, pizza, and salad you can stuff your face with for way under $10. I think it's about $6 or $7. Service isn't terribly fast, but it's a buffet. Pizza is good. Salad is basic, but fresh. Pasta is usually a bit stale.

We tried this for the first time today , on a Sunday . They seated us in an empty section and our waiter was more into talking with the other female staff . I asked 3 different things about items on the menu , he knew nothing about any of the items I had asked . I think the main clue I noticed and should have turned around and walked out, was that this is supposed to be an italian restaurant and there was absolutely no baked pizza smell or garlic odors .. you know that GOOD italian smell when you enter the front door . Its dark and dingy inside . We ordered an italian sub , and a meatball sub , one with the fries which was $2.00 extra and a side of pasta and sauce . We waited and waited , finally other people came into our section , they ordered pizza . They recieved their order before us , we were told they were waiting for the fries to cook . I had no clue that fries took longer to cook than pizza . WHO KNEW ? The subs were served on old sub buns , they were very dry and crumbled in your hand as you picked them up . The meat on the italian was tastless , I only tasted the peppers . The meatball , tasted like it had sauce from a can and the meatballs were little perfectly formed balls , just like the frozen in the bag kind . Seriously this place was awfull .

This place is what it is -- an awesome family-oriented place that makes great pizza. As grandparents, we love Paisano's for having a "make your own pizza" night every Saturday. Our two grandsons adore the individual crusts they're given, as well as the little dishes of sauce and toppings, so they can create any kind of pizza they'd like. They also love the gumball and candy machines a little too much, but we indulge them. It's just all part of the package. Combine that with some bowling at Sunshine Lanes right up the road and you've got the perfect grandparent/grandchild evening. Just don't go here looking for an upscale salad bar or gourmet Italian. That's not what this place is all about. But if you're looking for an economical evening out in a kid-friendly, neighborhood place with pleasant servers you cannot do better.

This is one of my two favorite Italian Restaurants in St. Pete. I don't know what happened to the people who left these other reviews but I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. The price is very reasonable and the food has me craving it all the time. The sauce tastes authentic(much more than the more expensive GiGis across the street) and the meatballs were delicious. I also recommend the California salad with the house dressing made at the restaurant. My wait both for take out and dine in was pretty typical for any restaurant although there are usually a lot of families there with children so it can be a little loud sometimes but the food is good enough that you don't mind. The service has always been top notch and everyone is friendly. I haven't been to the lunch buffet but I"d heard it's pretty good as well.

Good pizza and pub food! Kind of an odd presence at the bar. The bar is open to the restaurant which creates a good bit of noise at certain times but it isn't a huge deal. The food is solid. The "pizza bones" are their take on the bread stick but better. They're a little crispy on the outside and soft on the inside served with 3 different sauces. We split a cheese steak and a stuffed pizza. The cheese steak was a touch on the oily side. I think that they brush the bread with garlic butter. Tastes great but makes it a little soggy. The stuffed pizza is interesting. It's thin layers of crust above and below like a pie. It's overall thicker like Chicago style but the actual layers are thin. The top has a layer of sauce. By looking at it you'd swear it was Chicago style but it isn't. There's a special on the menu for a small with 5 toppings for like 10 bucks. It was plenty for two people and then some. Finally the dessert. I'm not a sweets guy but the waitress said we had to try the tiramasu. She was very convincing... Holy crap! I fantasize about it now. It is so moist and delicious. This is the best tiramasu I've ever had. Admittedly I very rarely order this dessert because typically it's been a disappointment but this was fantastic! The staff and service was great! All in all it was a really good visit. We will be back.

This was my first time here. The service was good and friendly. I wasn't sure what to order and the wait staff quickly gave me a suggestion, which I accepted. I ordered the Hannah Taylor pizza with garlic butter crust and all you can eat salad bar. The pizza crust was crisp and light, there were lots of toppings on the pizza. The salad bar had the same items on most salad bars but the items were fresh. The prices are okay. I will return again.

I went in and ordered take out and we were gravely disappointed. I am full Italian so a bit picky but I was beyond myself with how poor the quality was. I oredered stuffed shells and a calzone and salad for us to share. The stuffed shells were stuffed with a very cheap and gritty ricotta cheese. It was such a bland and gross cheese. The sauce was super oily. That part I can't understand?? There wasn't meat in the sauce but when I got home and took the lid off of the container, I noticed a thick glaze of oil which looked like the BP spill. Very sparse and cheap Mozarrella to top it. The side was Italian sausage. We tried two bites and were pretty grossed out. Gritty meat, it didn't taste like Italian sausage at all. The side salad was decent, the dressing tasty. The Calzone was so disappointing. The crust was SO thin. So thin that the ingredients were not held together well. It fell apart in one swoop. I ordered it with Spinach (lots of frozen spinach), Eggplant (couldn't tell if any was in it) and meatballs (very sparse). We were really craving a good calzone and it was dreadful. I didn't eat in but I was there for 30 minutes waiting and had a bit of time to take in the place. Very tacky, very dusty and very old Miller lite lights to decorate. There are so many better places in St. Petersburg. I picked up take out on a whim and had deep regrets. Next time I will stick to Cafe Cibo which NEVER goes wrong.

Paisano's is the total 1972 package. The total package that incorporates everything that is St Petersburg, Florida and wraps it up in a nice little bow for you. There you go. Now, it is up to you to eat there and experience it. Please bear with me while I romanticize... Every town has that local pizza place, the type of place that you just feel the urge to go back to week after week. Just like that old movie that you watch over and over again and it never gets old. There is a comfort in that. In this day and age when we even feel guilty for not trying a new restaurant every week, it is nice to have a comforting place to go back to. The service is warm and friendly, and so is this 1970's family restaurant atmosphere. Please please please never renovate this space. Never change. Keep is dark and divey and just keep dusting off those plastic grapes hanging from the ceiling. Yes, divey. There is a full liquor bar in the back; complete with juke box, neon signs, old arcade games, and an old lady that is always drunk and singing along with whatever music is playing. I'll just stay in the dining room, peeking into the kitchen at the mens with swagger making pizza while I munch down on a beautifully arranged bouquet of Pizza Bones. I cannot decide if I like the Chicago Thin Crust (cut into squares, of course) or the Chicago Deep Dish Pie more. Garlic butter on the crust is a must. All I know is this stuff never goes out of style. So, do as the locals do and eat at Paisano's.

I've been going here since this joint was "DINO's" pizza way back in the day. As for the dine-in experience now? No thanks. This place is always chaos, with a jam-packed parking lot, and a dining area often with kids running around and a noise level far above pleasant. So I only do take-out here, and even that has become a hassle with the parking scene. As for the pizza? Good, better than any chain, but never great. I have found the food to be very inconsistent here. Every slice of my last few take-out pizzas from here dripped with so much oil/fat that it nearly covered half of my plate. Those Kardashians have had a #1 TV show for many years, right? So for me, this is just "Kardashian" pizza. Mostly just show, great for many, but for those seeking a bit more? This is not your pizza nirvana... So the take-out food is just 3 stars, because you have a 50-50 shot of the food being good. As for dining in? Forget it. I give it zero stars, unless you enjoy chaos. I'll keep going back to my trusty Italian favorite in the old Rutland Plaza nearby, for pizza without the hollow lemming pedigree, onslaught of dripping grease, and a much more pleasant pizza experience overall! This was my first time here. The service was good and friendly. I wasn't sure what to order and the wait staff quickly gave me a suggestion, which I accepted. I ordered the Hannah Taylor pizza with garlic butter crust and all you can eat salad bar. The pizza crust was crisp and light, there were lots of toppings on the pizza. The salad bar had the same items on most salad bars but the items were fresh. The prices are okay. I will return again.

I loved the warm homey feel here. Service was so sweet and personable. In a way, I felt out of place, but it never made me uncomfortable because everyone I interacted with was pleasant. Everything on the salad bar was crisp, cold, and made me dance in my seat. Also tried me some spaghetti topped with fried eggplant(?), I don't care if it were poisonous hazard waste, I'd eat it again. Then there was that slice of pizza which donned diced peppers beneath a melty layer of cheese beneath a few slices of warm and juicy tomato slices...oh my lanta. This is our go to for pizza. It's our idea of comfort food. The crust is crisp and available dry or with garlic. The sauce is tangy with a touch of sweet. There is a good selection of toppings including fresh garlic and fresh basil. Paired with a salad bar slad and a glass of red and you have the ultimate comfort food!

I'm not sure where your Chicago friends went for pizza when they were there, but I've tried hundreds of different pizzas in Chicago, so I consider myself quite the expert. Needless to say, Paisano's will definitely not be on my list again. It was bad, but not horrible. Crust was decent, cheese was mediocre but the pepperoni was pretty good, hence the two stars instead of one. What killed this pizza was the sauce. Very, very bland, as if it just came out of a can. In my opinion, sauce is what ties everything together on a pizza and this was really disappointing. Also, the mozzarella sticks were warm, but the cheese was hard. That's kind of scary to me. I'm thinking of getting the leftover sticks carbon dated. The good reviews of bad Florida pizza continues to baffle me.

Been here a couple of times now, and we really like the pizza! It helps that it's so close too. We've tried a few other entrees (mozzarella sticks, calzone) and they have been ok but nothing outstanding. The people have been very friendly every time I go in. We will be back!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while now and finally did last night. We got the pizza bones and a medium pizza to go. When I ordered the pizza bones I assumed it would come with marinara dipping sauce, but I was pleasantly surprised when she asked if I wanted Alfredo, meat sauce or garlic butter. Since it was our first time trying it, I got all three. I wasn't too impressed with the Alfredo unfortunately, but it was a nice option to have. The meat sauce was good, but the garlic butter was the best. The pizza has a doughy crust which I really enjoy. It was hot and the toppings were fresh. The only complaint I have is that I wish it had cooked longer so the cheese was browned. Next time I would ask for it well done.

Great thick crust pizza, love the stuffed pizza and pizza bones, too! They have plenty of coupons and give AAA discounts. Nice people, and they have a trivia night that's a lot of fun. They have a good vegetarian pizza, and I really like their sauce.

Great place. Pizza bones are awesome for an appetizer and you get a lot of them. I really like the Alfredo sauce too for dipping. Pizza is good and hot with fresh toppings. The Sangria is good too. Comes with cinnamon which is a nice touch. Kid friendly. They will give your kids pizza dough to play with if you ask for it. Definitely a great place to try out if you live in or are visiting St. Pete.

Have eaten here several times over the last couple years. I think the food is ok, I still haven't been blown away by anything yet. This last visit, though, I was not thrilled at all. The primary reason I am knocking the score down is because I was charged 2$ for extra cheese...on my 1-filet chicken parm. Seriously?? And compared to the amount of cheese on my friends entrees, it wasn't much different. I know pizza joints are charging approx this amount for extra TOPPINGS on an entire pizza. NOT on 1 small chicken filet. And, more, not being told that there would be a charge. I simply asked if I could get extra cheese and was told sure. You have to tell your customers there is a charge! Especially if you are going to nail them with a $2 charge. That's just lame, old-school up-charging customers and it stinks. I don't mind if it's a reasonable extra charge AND being told that there is. I'll decide if I want it then. Don't try to pump up your sales by being shady. The famous Pizza Bones are actually what I've found to be the best item I've had here. And they are actually good. Nice and covered with garlic butter-very tasty! Salads-Caesar. Don't put the dressing on the side. I know that's probably because a Prep was either using too much and drowning it, and/or, a customer or two complained and there's no pleasing them so every one now has to do it themselves. Personally, I prefer the restaurant do this, and teach everyone HOW to do it correctly,-than leaving it up to me to coat everything on my plate and losing bits over the side. Doing an individual Caesar is actually a nice, easy touch to the experience. Aside from that, I just haven't found the wow factor here. Food is is just "ok". I can point to several other places for much better pizza alone. The Chicken Parm was ok. I think a lot of it is the sauce. It's a heavier, spicier sauce than what I typically get. Not my first choice. Also, dump the video games. We were trying to have a nice conversation and kept having to deal with the overly loud mom and her kid yelling at the game.

I've never tried the pizza (weird I know), but the Fettuccine Alfredo is great! This place has huge portions for low prices. $14 pitcher of Sangria?! Yes please! I always get the Fettuccine Alfredo which comes with a salad (Caesar or House) and amazing bread sticks. I always have enough left over for lunch the next day. People are serious when they say the bread sticks are incredible. Do not even try them if you are on a diet. I can taste the butter seeping into my veins after taking one bite. It is definitely worth it. They have trivia here on Tuesday nights, which is how I ended up trying this place out. It is a lot of fun and the people playing are all friendly and obviously know each other. There is a lot of shouting back and forth. This isn't high dining, but the prices and portion sizes make coming here worth it. Be warned, parking is a b****. The lot is small and seems to be always filled. I haven't figured out if there is another place where you can park nearby, since we always seem to snag the last parking spot. Whenever I get a pasta craving, this is my new go to spot.

When you see a Paisano's Pizza box in the dumpster every time you take out the trash you know where the locals get their pizza fix. I've only tried the pizza and the "Pizza Bones" a.k.a. breadsticks so I can't vouch for the food, but the pizza is decent. The highlight of Paisano's is their AMAZING Pizza Bones!!! OMG, so good!!! The Pizza Bones are super garlicky and buttery and are served warm from the oven. I could skip the pizza and just eat Pizza Bones all night!

Really quality pizza. I know a couple of Chicago Natives that are very particular about their pizza. This is about the only place they will go in town. I am from Detroit, and up there Buddy Pizza is the cream of the crop. While this place is a bit different than Buddy's, they are in the same league when it comes to quality. Great pizza, great bread, great salads. The staff is also wonderful. You are going to be full and happy whether you eat in or take out. It is one of those pizzas where you get full, but just can't stop eating because the flavor is so good. This is a good place to bring friends and get pitchers of beer.

Second visit tonight . Tried the famous pizza bones & was not disappointed....best spin on garlic bread I've had in a long time. Huge basket that disappeared way too fast. We had meatball & chicken parm subs with an upgrade to the pasta salad ; good move. Excellent service. The regulars at the bar look to be having a great time but this place appears to be good for families as well. Prices are very reasonable & we had leftovers, even. Will be back!

Paisano's Pizza is your basic, family-friendly, locally owned and operated pizza joint. The pizza is good, although not among the best I've ever had, but they have a good selection of ingredients that you can mix and match; another point in their favor is that the fresh veggies they use are prepared correctly so that the pizza doesn't get watery. Families with young children will probably rate this restaurant much higher, as the place is extremely child-friendly (which is great) and really geared more towards that type of crowd. However, the pizza is worth checking out if you are in the mood for casual takeout; I wouldn't recommend dining in unless you have children 12 and under.

I went in and ordered take out and we were gravely disappointed. I am full Italian so a bit picky but I was beyond myself with how poor the quality was. I oredered stuffed shells and a calzone and salad for us to share. The stuffed shells were stuffed with a very cheap and gritty ricotta cheese. It was such a bland and gross cheese. The sauce was super oily. That part I can't understand?? There wasn't meat in the sauce but when I got home and took the lid off of the container, I noticed a thick glaze of oil which looked like the BP spill. Very sparse and cheap Mozarrella to top it. The side was Italian sausage. We tried two bites and were pretty grossed out. Gritty meat, it didn't taste like Italian sausage at all. The side salad was decent, the dressing tasty. The Calzone was so disappointing. The crust was SO thin. So thin that the ingredients were not held together well. It fell apart in one swoop. I ordered it with Spinach (lots of frozen spinach), Eggplant (couldn't tell if any was in it) and meatballs (very sparse). We were really craving a good calzone and it was dreadful. I didn't eat in but I was there for 30 minutes waiting and had a bit of time to take in the place. Very tacky, very dusty and very old Miller lite lights to decorate. There are so many better places in St. Petersburg. I picked up take out on a whim and had deep regrets. Next time I will stick to Cafe Cibo which NEVER goes wrong.

Well we go quiet often I have to say to virginia they actually offer certain nights that kids eat free so I would avoid those days! I have the salad bar all the time for dinner 6.99 all the soup and salad you can eat I mainly stick to the salads and I love it. Their pizza is amazing and the sause is always consistant - and it is home made which they take pride in. If you want a quiet romantic place this is not it... just a local hot sport bar on one side main dinning on other - very popular local spot.

I was expecting better from Paisano's. The pizza was mediocre but the drink prices were good. It took a while to be seated but the service was not bad once we did. It is kind of dark and gloomy in the restaurant. The regulars were at the bare playing trivia. I looked over at the buffet as it was Italian buffet night but it did not look to appetizing. I think there were 2 pizzas, some salad, and maybe some ziti or lasagna. We ordered a pitcher of Blue Moon that was not badly prices, an order of pizza bones which are just garlic bread with lots of butter and a thin crust pizza. The highlight of the meal was the beer. Overall, I was expecting a higher quality pizza from Paisano's. I am not against giving it another try but probably not anytime soon.

You can't beat their incredibly cheap lunch buffet. All the pasta, pizza, and salad you can stuff your face with for way under $10. I think it's about $6 or $7. Service isn't terribly fast, but it's a buffet. Pizza is good. Salad is basic, but fresh. Pasta is usually a bit stale.

I was hoping to get to Giordano's instead, but this was closer to where I was going. Not my choice, and definitely no need to return on a future visit to the area. The sausage and pepperoni stromboli was weak. I should have just ordered a small pizza instead. This is what the stromboli was like, with a side of marinara sauce. I was told of the lunch buffet but decided against it without looking. For one it would've cost me less than what I ordered, and I could have gotten more than my plate had. As a traveler, I am comfortable (but maybe generous) in giving this 2 stars. The service was slow, my food was scraping the bottom of the barrel. At least the booth looked in decent condition, no rips, tears or duct tape were obvious. Then again, I should have looked closer to distract myself from my "lunch".

I agree with Lisa, this place is dreadful. Sure they're busy quite often packed, with lots of kids running around and a clientel that seems, well, like they're definitely food fans, but not foodies. Certainly not a place I want to spend my money at.

We tried this for the first time today , on a Sunday . They seated us in an empty section and our waiter was more into talking with the other female staff . I asked 3 different things about items on the menu , he knew nothing about any of the items I had asked . I think the main clue I noticed and should have turned around and walked out, was that this is supposed to be an italian restaurant and there was absolutely no baked pizza smell or garlic odors .. you know that GOOD italian smell when you enter the front door . Its dark and dingy inside . We ordered an italian sub , and a meatball sub , one with the fries which was $2.00 extra and a side of pasta and sauce . We waited and waited , finally other people came into our section , they ordered pizza . They recieved their order before us , we were told they were waiting for the fries to cook . I had no clue that fries took longer to cook than pizza . WHO KNEW ? The subs were served on old sub buns , they were very dry and crumbled in your hand as you picked them up . The meat on the italian was tastless , I only tasted the peppers . The meatball , tasted like it had sauce from a can and the meatballs were little perfectly formed balls , just like the frozen in the bag kind . Seriously this place was awfull .

This place is what it is -- an awesome family-oriented place that makes great pizza. As grandparents, we love Paisano's for having a "make your own pizza" night every Saturday. Our two grandsons adore the individual crusts they're given, as well as the little dishes of sauce and toppings, so they can create any kind of pizza they'd like. They also love the gumball and candy machines a little too much, but we indulge them. It's just all part of the package. Combine that with some bowling at Sunshine Lanes right up the road and you've got the perfect grandparent/grandchild evening. Just don't go here looking for an upscale salad bar or gourmet Italian. That's not what this place is all about. But if you're looking for an economical evening out in a kid-friendly, neighborhood place with pleasant servers you cannot do better.

This is one of my two favorite Italian Restaurants in St. Pete. I don't know what happened to the people who left these other reviews but I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. The price is very reasonable and the food has me craving it all the time. The sauce tastes authentic(much more than the more expensive GiGis across the street) and the meatballs were delicious. I also recommend the California salad with the house dressing made at the restaurant. My wait both for take out and dine in was pretty typical for any restaurant although there are usually a lot of families there with children so it can be a little loud sometimes but the food is good enough that you don't mind. The service has always been top notch and everyone is friendly. I haven't been to the lunch buffet but I"d heard it's pretty good as well.

Paisano's is the total 1972 package. The total package that incorporates everything that is St Petersburg, Florida and wraps it up in a nice little bow for you. There you go. Now, it is up to you to eat there and experience it. Please bear with me while I romanticize... Every town has that local pizza place, the type of place that you just feel the urge to go back to week after week. Just like that old movie that you watch over and over again and it never gets old. There is a comfort in that. In this day and age when we even feel guilty for not trying a new restaurant every week, it is nice to have a comforting place to go back to. The service is warm and friendly, and so is this 1970's family restaurant atmosphere. Please please please never renovate this space. Never change. Keep is dark and divey and just keep dusting off those plastic grapes hanging from the ceiling. Yes, divey. There is a full liquor bar in the back; complete with juke box, neon signs, old arcade games, and an old lady that is always drunk and singing along with whatever music is playing. I'll just stay in the dining room, peeking into the kitchen at the mens with swagger making pizza while I munch down on a beautifully arranged bouquet of Pizza Bones. I cannot decide if I like the Chicago Thin Crust (cut into squares, of course) or the Chicago Deep Dish Pie more. Garlic butter on the crust is a must. All I know is this stuff never goes out of style. So, do as the locals do and eat at Paisano's.

I've been going here since this joint was "DINO's" pizza way back in the day. As for the dine-in experience now? No thanks. This place is always chaos, with a jam-packed parking lot, and a dining area often with kids running around and a noise level far above pleasant. So I only do take-out here, and even that has become a hassle with the parking scene. As for the pizza? Good, better than any chain, but never great. I have found the food to be very inconsistent here. Every slice of my last few take-out pizzas from here dripped with so much oil/fat that it nearly covered half of my plate. Paisano's has been my go-to pizza place for the past few months. They give out coupons in the mail through Valpak and sometimes in stores, which helps the price since it's not some poser pizza chain. I don't know how to describe Paisano's, but what keeps me coming is that it is a bit oily, crisp crust that flexes generously (for the folders out there), and most importantly, they're open a little late on Friday and Saturday. They also offer garlic butter on the pizza. I'm not sure if I notice, but I love the gesture.

This is our go to for pizza. It's our idea of comfort food. The crust is crisp and available dry or with garlic. The sauce is tangy with a touch of sweet. There is a good selection of toppings including fresh garlic and fresh basil. Paired with a salad bar slad and a glass of red and you have the ultimate comfort food!

Ross M., what are you talking about? I'm not sure where your Chicago friends went for pizza when they were there, but I've tried hundreds of different pizzas in Chicago, so I consider myself quite the expert. Needless to say, Paisano's will definitely not be on my list again. It was bad, but not horrible. Crust was decent, cheese was mediocre but the pepperoni was pretty good, hence the two stars instead of one. What killed this pizza was the sauce. Very, very bland, as if it just came out of a can. In my opinion, sauce is what ties everything together on a pizza and this was really disappointing. Also, the mozzarella sticks were warm, but the cheese was hard. That's kind of scary to me. I'm thinking of getting the leftover sticks carbon dated. The good reviews of bad Florida pizza continues to baffle me.

Been here a couple of times now, and we really like the pizza! It helps that it's so close too. We've tried a few other entrees (mozzarella sticks, calzone) and they have been ok but nothing outstanding. The people have been very friendly every time I go in. We will be back!

Fantastic Pizza and salad! We ate the leftover pizza the next day and it was just as good as the night before! The place was packed but we were seated right away, did not wait long for food and drink refills! Will see them again!!!

Second visit tonight . Tried the famous pizza bones & was not disappointed....best spin on garlic bread I've had in a long time. Huge basket that disappeared way too fast. We had meatball & chicken parm subs with an upgrade to the pasta salad ; good move. Excellent service. The regulars at the bar look to be having a great time but this place appears to be good for families as well. Prices are very reasonable & we had leftovers, even. Will be back!

I've never tried the pizza (weird I know), but the Fettuccine Alfredo is great! This place has huge portions for low prices. $14 pitcher of Sangria?! Yes please! I always get the Fettuccine Alfredo which comes with a salad (Caesar or House) and amazing bread sticks. I always have enough left over for lunch the next day. People are serious when they say the bread sticks are incredible. Do not even try them if you are on a diet. I can taste the butter seeping into my veins after taking one bite. It is definitely worth it. They have trivia here on Tuesday nights, which is how I ended up trying this place out. It is a lot of fun and the people playing are all friendly and obviously know each other. There is a lot of shouting back and forth. This isn't high dining, but the prices and portion sizes make coming here worth it. Be warned, parking is a b****. The lot is small and seems to be always filled. I haven't figured out if there is another place where you can park nearby, since we always seem to snag the last parking spot. Whenever I get a pasta craving, this is my new go to spot.

I agree with Lisa, this place is dreadful. Sure they're busy quite often packed, with lots of kids running around and a clientel that seems, well, like they're definitely food fans, but not foodies. The spaghetti we got here was so overdone and the sauce tasted like a can. The meatballs had a very odd texture of poorly ground beef and only beef and breadcrumbs. Certainly not a place I want to spend my money at.

Great thick crust pizza, love the stuffed pizza and pizza bones, too! They have plenty of coupons and give AAA discounts. Nice people, and they have a trivia night that's a lot of fun. They have a good vegetarian pizza, and I really like their sauce.

Great place. Pizza bones are awesome for an appetizer and you get a lot of them. I really like the Alfredo sauce too for dipping. Pizza is good and hot with fresh toppings. The Sangria is good too. Comes with cinnamon which is a nice touch. Kid friendly. They will give your kids pizza dough to play with if you ask for it. Definitely a great place to try out if you live in or are visiting St. Pete.

When you see a Paisano's Pizza box in the dumpster every time you take out the trash you know where the locals get their pizza fix. I've only tried the pizza and the "Pizza Bones" a.k.a. breadsticks so I can't vouch for the food, but the pizza is decent. The highlight of Paisano's is their AMAZING Pizza Bones!!! OMG, so good!!! The Pizza Bones are super garlicky and buttery and are served warm from the oven. I could skip the pizza and just eat Pizza Bones all night!

Really quality pizza. I know a couple of Chicago Natives that are very particular about their pizza. This is about the only place they will go in town. I am from Detroit, and up there Buddy Pizza is the cream of the crop. While this place is a bit different than Buddy's, they are in the same league when it comes to quality. Great pizza, great bread, great salads. The staff is also wonderful. You are going to be full and happy whether you eat in or take out. It is one of those pizzas where you get full, but just can't stop eating because the flavor is so good. This is a good place to bring friends and get pitchers of beer.

Paisano's Pizza is your basic, family-friendly, locally owned and operated pizza joint. The pizza is good, although not among the best I've ever had, but they have a good selection of ingredients that you can mix and match; another point in their favor is that the fresh veggies they use are prepared correctly so that the pizza doesn't get watery. Families with young children will probably rate this restaurant much higher, as the place is extremely child-friendly (which is great) and really geared more towards that type of crowd. However, the pizza is worth checking out if you are in the mood for casual takeout; I wouldn't recommend dining in unless you have children 12 and under.

3.5 Stars in my book, but could not rate accordingly in rating box. Garlic bread is yummy, chicken parmesan is the best I've had in St Pete. Salads are decent. Wait staff is very friendly and welcoming-make you feel right at home. Pricing is reasonable. Parking is only problem. Definitely recommend over other Italian restaurants along 4th in the northeast part of St Pete.

I was hoping to get to Giordano's instead, but this was closer to where I was going. Not my choice, and definitely no need to return on a future visit to the area. The sausage and pepperoni stromboli was weak. I should have just ordered a small pizza instead. This is what the stromboli was like, with a side of marinara sauce. I was told of the lunch buffet but decided against it without looking. For one it would've cost me less than what I ordered, and I could have gotten more than my plate had. As a traveler, I am comfortable (but maybe generous) in giving this 2 stars. The service was slow, my food was scraping the bottom of the barrel. At least the booth looked in decent condition, no rips, tears or duct tape were obvious. Then again, I should have looked closer to distract myself from my "lunch".

Well we go quiet often I have to say to virginia they actually offer certain nights that kids eat free so I would avoid those days! I have the salad bar all the time for dinner 6.99 all the soup and salad you can eat I mainly stick to the salads and I love it. Their pizza is amazing and the sause is always consistant - and it is home made which they take pride in. If you want a quiet romantic place this is not it... just a local hot sport bar on one side main dinning on other - very popular local spot.

I was expecting better from Paisano's. The pizza was mediocre but the drink prices were good. It took a while to be seated but the service was not bad once we did. It is kind of dark and gloomy in the restaurant. The regulars were at the bare playing trivia. I looked over at the buffet as it was Italian buffet night but it did not look to appetizing. I think there were 2 pizzas, some salad, and maybe some ziti or lasagna. We ordered a pitcher of Blue Moon that was not badly prices, an order of pizza bones which are just garlic bread with lots of butter and a thin crust pizza. The highlight of the meal was the beer. Overall, I was expecting a higher quality pizza from Paisano's. I am not against giving it another try but probably not anytime soon.

You can't beat their incredibly cheap lunch buffet. All the pasta, pizza, and salad you can stuff your face with for way under $10. I think it's about $6 or $7. Service isn't terribly fast, but it's a buffet. Pizza is good. Salad is basic, but fresh. Pasta is usually a bit stale.

We tried this for the first time today , on a Sunday . They seated us in an empty section and our waiter was more into talking with the other female staff . I asked 3 different things about items on the menu , he knew nothing about any of the items I had asked . I think the main clue I noticed and should have turned around and walked out, was that this is supposed to be an italian restaurant and there was absolutely no baked pizza smell or garlic odors .. you know that GOOD italian smell when you enter the front door . Its dark and dingy inside . We ordered an italian sub , and a meatball sub , one with the fries which was $2.00 extra and a side of pasta and sauce . We waited and waited , finally other people came into our section , they ordered pizza . They recieved their order before us , we were told they were waiting for the fries to cook . I had no clue that fries took longer to cook than pizza . WHO KNEW ? The subs were served on old sub buns , they were very dry and crumbled in your hand as you picked them up . The meat on the italian was tastless , I only tasted the peppers . The meatball , tasted like it had sauce from a can and the meatballs were little perfectly formed balls , just like the frozen in the bag kind . Seriously this place was awfull .

This place is what it is -- an awesome family-oriented place that makes great pizza. As grandparents, we love Paisano's for having a "make your own pizza" night every Saturday. Our two grandsons adore the individual crusts they're given, as well as the little dishes of sauce and toppings, so they can create any kind of pizza they'd like. They also love the gumball and candy machines a little too much, but we indulge them. It's just all part of the package. Combine that with some bowling at Sunshine Lanes right up the road and you've got the perfect grandparent/grandchild evening. Just don't go here looking for an upscale salad bar or gourmet Italian. That's not what this place is all about. But if you're looking for an economical evening out in a kid-friendly, neighborhood place with pleasant servers you cannot do better.

This is one of my two favorite Italian Restaurants in St. Pete. I don't know what happened to the people who left these other reviews but I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. The price is very reasonable and the food has me craving it all the time. The sauce tastes authentic(much more than the more expensive GiGis across the street) and the meatballs were delicious. I also recommend the California salad with the house dressing made at the restaurant. My wait both for take out and dine in was pretty typical for any restaurant although there are usually a lot of families there with children so it can be a little loud sometimes but the food is good enough that you don't mind. The service has always been top notch and everyone is friendly. I haven't been to the lunch buffet but I"d heard it's pretty good as well.

Good pizza and pub food! Kind of an odd presence at the bar. The bar is open to the restaurant which creates a good bit of noise at certain times but it isn't a huge deal. The food is solid. The "pizza bones" are their take on the bread stick but better. They're a little crispy on the outside and soft on the inside served with 3 different sauces. We split a cheese steak and a stuffed pizza. The cheese steak was a touch on the oily side. I think that they brush the bread with garlic butter. Tastes great but makes it a little soggy. The stuffed pizza is interesting. It's thin layers of crust above and below like a pie. It's overall thicker like Chicago style but the actual layers are thin. The top has a layer of sauce. By looking at it you'd swear it was Chicago style but it isn't. There's a special on the menu for a small with 5 toppings for like 10 bucks. It was plenty for two people and then some. Finally the dessert. I'm not a sweets guy but the waitress said we had to try the tiramasu. She was very convincing... Holy crap! I fantasize about it now. It is so moist and delicious. This is the best tiramasu I've ever had. Admittedly I very rarely order this dessert because typically it's been a disappointment but this was fantastic! The staff and service was great! All in all it was a really good visit. We will be back.

This was my first time here. The service was good and friendly. I wasn't sure what to order and the wait staff quickly gave me a suggestion, which I accepted. I ordered the Hannah Taylor pizza with garlic butter crust and all you can eat salad bar. The pizza crust was crisp and light, there were lots of toppings on the pizza. The salad bar had the same items on most salad bars but the items were fresh. The prices are okay. I will return again.

I went in and ordered take out and we were gravely disappointed. I am full Italian so a bit picky but I was beyond myself with how poor the quality was. I oredered stuffed shells and a calzone and salad for us to share. The stuffed shells were stuffed with a very cheap and gritty ricotta cheese. It was such a bland and gross cheese. The sauce was super oily. That part I can't understand?? There wasn't meat in the sauce but when I got home and took the lid off of the container, I noticed a thick glaze of oil which looked like the BP spill. Very sparse and cheap Mozarrella to top it. The side was Italian sausage. We tried two bites and were pretty grossed out. Gritty meat, it didn't taste like Italian sausage at all. The side salad was decent, the dressing tasty. The Calzone was so disappointing. The crust was SO thin. So thin that the ingredients were not held together well. It fell apart in one swoop. I ordered it with Spinach (lots of frozen spinach), Eggplant (couldn't tell if any was in it) and meatballs (very sparse). We were really craving a good calzone and it was dreadful. I didn't eat in but I was there for 30 minutes waiting and had a bit of time to take in the place. Very tacky, very dusty and very old Miller lite lights to decorate. There are so many better places in St. Petersburg. I picked up take out on a whim and had deep regrets. Next time I will stick to Cafe Cibo which NEVER goes wrong.
